Days 1-2

Our journey begins with a jet flight and a scenic motor coach ride into the majestic Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.  Our tour of Cornell University and an overnight stay on the campus give our teens a chance to get acquainted while experiencing “College Life” for the first time. From Ithaca, we’ll pass through Watkins Glen as we head to our first Canadian destination, Niagara Falls, the mightiest natural Wonder of the World.  Our teens will experience the fury of the falls on the Hurricane Deck at the end of our Cave of the Winds Hike, as well as during our Maid of the Mist boat ride.  Then, we’ll travel into Canada to take in the magnificence of the 2,200 foot wide Horseshoe Falls.

Days 3-4

Our next stop is the capital of Ontario and Canada’s largest city, Toronto.  Our centrally located accommodations allow us time to explore all of the exciting activities this city has to offer.  Our teens will venture to the top of the CN Tower, the world’s tallest freestanding structure.  In addition, we’ll tour the Skydome, pose with the Stanley Cup at the Hockey Hall of Fame and complete our stay in Toronto with the thrill of eight high-tech roller coasters at Canada’s Wonderland Amusement Park.

Days 5-6

The Canadian experience continues as we travel north to Montreal.  Here, our teens will experience the excitement of a jet boat ride on the St. Lawrence River.  Next, we’ll move back to land to explore the old port as well as Underground Montreal.

Discover New EnglandDays 7-9

Our journey continues back to the States to experience the grandeur of the Appalachian Mountains.  Our teens will hike the “flume” and view “Old man in the Mountain”.  We will check-in to our 3 and 4 bedroom mountainside condominiums, which are equipped with all of the comforts of home.  We’ll take the Cog Railroad up to a magnificent view of New England from the summit of Mt. Washington, the tallest peak in New England.  In addition, the teens will have an exciting ride aboard the Alpine Slide and enjoy an evening in the resort town of North Conway.

Days 10-11

Now it’s time to strap on your life vest, grab a paddle and get set for our raft trip down the Kennebec River.  Dam-controlled, this river has both scenic floating portions through the Kennebec Gorge, as well as some of the most exciting rapids in the Eastern United States.  But don’t worry, our professional raft guides will ensure our safe passage!

Discover New EnglandDays 12-13

Our next stop takes us to the Atlantic coast and the magnificent scenery of Acadia National Park.  Here we’ll ascend famous Cadillac Mountain for some unparalleled sunrise views of the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged coast of Maine.  In addition, we’ll spend a day at the Sand Beach, as well as touring the park to see such notable sights as Thunder Hole and the Otter Cliffs.  At night, we’ll enjoy strolling through the town of Bar Harbor where we’ll enjoy a Lobster Feast like none other.

Day 14

The teens will be fascinated and amazed at the sight of magnificent mammals during our Whale Watching Expedition.  On the way to Boston, we’ll spend the day at the seashore town of Old Orchard Beach for some sun n’ fun on the Atlantic Ocean.

Days 15-17

After a day at the beach, we check into our accommodations in the capital of Massachusetts, Boston.  Our stay at Boston University is centrally located as we walk the Freedom Trail, which includes the sights of the Boston Tea party, Bunker Hill and a tour of the USS Constitution.  We will have lunch at Fanueil Hall and stroll through Quincy Marketplace, before entering the New England Aquarium.  After a delicious Italian dinner in the “North End”, we’ll be dazzled by the sights and sounds of Laser Rock.  The teens will enjoy brunch at Harvard Square and take a tour of the prestigious Harvard University campus.  We’ll cap off our stay here with an evening at Fenway Park and a stroll along the Charles River.

Days 18-21

As our trip reaches its last leg, we’ll settle in to our hotel in New York City for a blockbuster stay in the Big Apple.  We’ll take in a Broadway Show, tour NBC Studios, journey to the top of the Top of the Rock, stroll Fifth Avenue and visit the South Street Seaport, including a speedboat tour aboard The Beast of New York Harbor for a breathtaking view of Lady Liberty.  We’ll also enjoy dinner in Chinatown and dessert in Little Italy.  After an “Eat till you bust” experience at a famous NY deli, we’ll head to Six Flags Great Adventure for thrill rides that promise not to disappoint.

Following our farewell activities, our teens will make the journey home with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.  You’ll have just enough time to post your pics on Facebook, as the Meritas Fall Reunion will be just around the corner.
