Days 1-3
Your “Golf Florida” tour begins in Orlando, Florida home of the internationally renowned Core Golf Junior Golf Academy, located at the fabulous Orange County National Golf Resort. Upon arrival, you will check-in to your resort villa and step outside on to the practice tee to meet with your fellow campers, counselors and the Core Academy Golf Professionals. The instruction begins with an afternoon of evaluation including videotaping of your swing and review of your self-evaluation form. That evening, you’ll spend more time getting to know your fellow campers and counselors as we conclude the day with a welcome barbeque and pool party.
Your first full day of instruction begins on the practice tee at Orange County, home of the largest driving range facility in this country. You’ll have a morning of lessons in those areas that are most important to the improvement of your individual game. During these opening days of instruction, you’ll also take part in your first of on-course playing lesson on the famed courses of Orange County National Golf Club. It is during these on-course lessons that the pros will help you improve your course management skills. These skills are unique to each golfer and are dependant upon your own strengths and weaknesses. That evening, you’ll have fun showing off your putting skills on Disney’s Fantasia Fairways, the world’s largest miniature golf course.
Your next full day of instruction features lessons in all skill areas. After you have covered skills, at your level, in the areas of chipping, putting, short and long irons and woods your opening lessons will be complete. Now, it is time to try your skills at the first of our PGA Tour courses.
Days 4-5
The Tour then heads to Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge. This private club, where Mr. Palmer lives and plays, is open to all of our teen golfers as we share in membership privileges. Perhaps you’ll swim in the fabulous pool, play some tennis, work out in the exercise room or just relax in the Spa and whirlpools. Your anticipation will build as you await your tee time on the famed Bay Hill course where you will walk the fairways with your own Caddy and shoot for birdies on the same terrain that the PGA pros play. While you play, you will receive advice and instruction as our head Core Academy “on-tour” professional accompanies us here and throughout all of our course play on the “Golf Florida” Tour. Our golfers will also enjoy an afternoon visit to the Golf Channel Studios where they’ll tour the sets of many of our favorite Golf Channel Shows.
Day 5
It is only a short drive to the city of Ponte Vedra Beach. You’ll check-in to the fabulous Marriott Resort at Sawgrass, where you’ll enjoy relaxing poolside as you prepare to play the famous Stadium Course at The Tournament Players Club. This course is home to the PGA Pro’s own Player’s Championship and is recognized throughout the world for its unique natural stadium design and challenging golf holes. Once again, our Core Academy professional will be with you offering pointers and advice on managing your game during this exciting round of golf.
Days 6-7
The Golf Florida Tour continues to the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, home of the PGA Tour headquarters. Here, you’ll walk along the boardwalk promenade and visit the Tour Stop, the official PGA store. We’ll spend the morning at the World Golf Hall of Fame where you and your friends can practice broadcasting skills as a golf analyst or compare your swings to your favorite pros. Your stay at the Village will be completed with rounds of golf at the famed Slammer and Squire Course, home of the Legends of Golf, a senior PGA Tour event and The Conservatory, site of the Sur Mer Classic, a PGA tour event.
Days 9-11

Your instructor will address specific areas of your game that presented problems for you during the first half of the tour. Of course, this two day instructional session will include instruction on the practice tee and during two additional rounds of golf at Orange County. After you complete the mid-tour instructional session at the Academy, you will be ready to continue our Florida Swing. Before leaving town, you’ll enjoy a round of golf on the International Course at Champions Gate. This Greg Norman designed links style course provides our golfers a chance to experience golf as it’s played throughout the British Isles.
Days 12-13
You will head to the West Coast of Florida, where you will check-in to the beachside Hilton Resort on Marco Island. No trip through Florida would be complete without a visit to the Everglades National Park, where you’ll ride an airboat deep into the heart of alligator territory. Remember: keep your hands and feet inside the boat at all times! Cool breezes from the Gulf of Mexico will greet you as you hit the first tee at Tiburon, home of Greg Norman’s Shark Shootout .
Days 14 -15
Transportation to your next tour stop will be aboard our cruise to Key West, the southern most point in the United States. This cruise, through the Gulf of Mexico, will give you a chance to see the beauty and magnificence of the Florida Keys. While in Key West, you’ll enjoy the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square and walk historic Duval Street with its quaint shops and eateries. Only in Key West will you see such unique street performers and vendors. Our beachfront resort is within close proximity to all the attractions and has all of the amenities our golfing teens have come to expect. The tour continues through the Conch Republic, as we travel across the seven-mile bridge on the famed Overseas Highway. Upon arrival in Key Largo you will gear up for an afternoon snorkeling adventure at the National marine Sanctuary at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.
Days 16-17

While at this world-class resort, you will play the fabled greens of the Blue monster, home of the PGA Tour’s Doral-Ryder Open. After an exhilarating round of golf on this notable course, you can enjoy all of the resort facilities including the Spa, Pools, Driving ranges, Putting greens and Exercise rooms. You will spend evenings visiting the renowned Art Deco District of South Beach, having dinner at the Hard Rock Café and casting your lines during our exclusive Midnight Deep Sea Fishing Expedition in the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, we’ll watch a Florida Marlins game if they’re in town.
Days 18-21
As you head north to Orlando, you’ll be challenged once again as you tee off at the TPC Heron Bay, home of the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic. Remember, your Core Golf Academy pro will be with you on this and every course you play to assist and advise you in shot selection and course management. The tour concludes in Orlando with your final round of instructional golf and a visit to Disney Quest. Your final days of instruction will include an evaluation at the Golf Academy after which you will participate in The Meritas Cup Golf Tournament and Skills Challenge. The final banquet will be a place where you can bid ‘au revoir’ to your fellow golfers and re-live the highlights of your exciting golf journey before your flight home.
You’ll have just enough time to post your pics on MySpace before the Fall Reunion - where you can remember all of the fun you had during the summer and meet for another round of golf with your new friends.
